The Interior Decor Of Hayden Lasher’s Childhood Home – After having a New York busy lifestyle, the renowned fashion designer, Hayden Lasher, decided that she needed a change in her daily routine. What better way to do that, then going back to her roots, and move into the suburbs of Houston, Texas?
Tanglewood, Houston, is going to be the new home for the handbag designer. Meanwhile, her family is staying in her childhood home, on River Oaks, where her father still lives. We are talking about a house, built in 1965, with a glamorous interior decor inspired by the classic French style. “The best part about being back in Texas is the people. Being near my family has been a huge positive, and everyone here is so friendly. You can’t beat Southern hospitality”, says the former new yorker, Hayden Lasher to the Texas Monthly.
The house had an important part in her journey to become a fashion designer, and the handbag designer considers her childhood home decoration and its unique details (like this mirror from 18th-century) as an inspiration for many of her masterpieces.

The library is her father’s favorite place. The walnut-paneled room is decorated with an exquisite Knole sofa combined with Flemish tapestries.
“I have so many memories from this house—rolling down the hill in the backyard, putting on choreographed dances in the foyer, creating concoctions in the kitchen of anything and everything we can find in the kitchen”.
All of the rooms have history, thanks to the presence of artwork, fine French antiques, rare books, hand-painted walls, and plush textiles.
