Runway Design Trends From London And Milan Fashion Week 2019 – Being one of the best high-couture events, the presentation of the Spring/Summer collection for 2020 marks the start of a month-long sartorial spectacle as top luxury brands showcase their latest creations to editors, buyers, and influencers.
As the Spring 2020 collections hit the runways from London and Milan Fashion Week 2019 every fashion and design lover was keeping an eye on all the top looks defining the season. From all of the exquisite collections presented in the fashion show, there were three design trends that stood out since they are also quite popular in the interior design world!
The brand’s Metropol show space was kitted out in giant palms and the runway was carpeted in leopard print. “We were in the jungle. The Sicilian jungle,” Gabbana clarified. Over the course of 124 looks, the designers touched on all the elements of their chosen theme and then some, starting with safari suiting (minus the pinup girl patches of their recent men’s collection, which covered the same territory) and cycling through animal and tropical prints.

Originally used for furniture as a way to keep textile trims from unraveling, fringe has a long history in home decor, from Victorian lampshades to hippy 60s curtains. Love it or hate it, it’s a trend that always re-emerges in fashion and decor.
