With every new edition, Maison Et Objet puts six promising young design talents under the spotlight also elects and selects the ultimate surprise of the year through the Designer of the Year award.

After the incredible Sebastian Herkner, Laura Gonzalez named Maison Et Objet 2019 designer of the Year for Fall. The 37-year-old designer, who trained at the Paris-Malaquais School of Architecture, has worked on a variety of Parisian shops, private apartments, beautiful hotels, and iconic restaurants. Gonzalez describes her personal style as “classical with a quirky twist.” She enjoys mixing fabrics, materials, and design inspirations to create a special, eclectic blend.
