Cersaie 2019 in Bologna (Italy) is one of the most expected design events among the bathroom design lovers because it is the place where you’ll find the best bathroom design solutions to create your projects. From September 23rd to the 27th, all roads lead to Bologna Fiere for the world of luxury bathroom inspiration, also known as Cersaie.
From bespoke surface designs, ceramics, and other high-quality materials, to the ultimate bathroom furniture and inspiration, Cersaie’s international event is everything you need to get you started on your trendy decor.
Cersaie: The Salone
The latest design trends will be presented in eighteen pavilions in which to touch the entire range of products in the sector: large ceramic slabs, tiles in every format, wallpapers, wooden floors, bathroom furnishings, showers, saunas, bathtubs, taps, and designer bathroom fixtures.
Pavilions 21, 28, 29 and 30 are the ideal location to host the wellness salon, spacious and elegant environments in which to meet customers and prospects in a market that has become global also for bathroom furnishing companies. Today designers and contractors are the great influencers with which companies need to interface: being able to do it in an exclusive context, which enhances the design of each stand, is a success factor.
For the popular bathroom furnishings exhibition, Cersaie two incredible pavilions, that corresponds to a total of 33,000 square meters space, in which natural light enhances large spaces creating a single large exhibition area of great beauty, located between the two entrances most used by visitors. Bathroom furnishings, taps, sanitary ware, bathtubs, shower stalls, and heated towel rails from over 180 of the most representative luxury design companies can be seen in this marvelous space.
Expectations are high for the Cersaie‘s 2019 edition since last year the design event hosted over 112 thousand visitors, 50% of whom were foreigners who visited the 161 thousand square meters of the exhibition area. Besides the incredible showcase for this year incredible event, there is a rich calendar of technical seminars for architects and designers that provide two hours of classroom and two hours of practical exercises in the installation laboratory in a dedicated area.

Cersaie’s ADI Ceramics & Bathroom Design Award
This incredible design award was created in collaboration with ADI (Association for Industrial Design) with the goal to distinguish the most innovative Italian products of the product categories, like ceramic tile, bathroom furniture or surface designs, showcased at Bologna’s Cersaie fair. The bespoke products selected represent a pre-selection for the ADI Design Index 2020, an annual publication of the ADI Association for Industrial Design which brings together the best Italian design put into production.
The awarding of the ADI Ceramics & Bathroom Design Award will take place on September 25th at 2.30pm at Cersaie’s Famous Bathrooms exhibition – Hall 30. This year the incredible jury is composed by Valentina Downey, a product and strategic designer, Silvia Stanzani, member of the ADI Emilia Romagna delegation, and Oscar G. Colli, the former director of marketing and new products of the Publishing House.
Famous Bathroom Exhibit in Cersaie 2019
The two curators, Angelo Dall’Aglio and Davide Vercelli, have chosen a new and highly innovative exhibition model, a cross between a traditional trade fair and an art gallery where each set will show a small number of carefully selected elements. Cersaie’s Famous Bathrooms will offer an interpretation of bathrooms inspired by personalities that have shaped history, from The Beatles to Sigmund Freud, from Coco Chanel to Piet Mondrian and from Le Corbusier to Maria Callas.
For this year themed exhibition the Cersaie‘s organization team has chosen the most famous bathroom designs throughout history. It will present a series of bathrooms inspired by personalities that have stood out in their various fields (art, culture, science, music or cinema) from the classical era to the present. Displayed in Hall 30, this inspiring themed exhibition, which is in its sixth edition, will bring a valuable vision to the contest.
