Located near the most agitated avenue in Lisbon, Mathew Harris Lisbon pied-à-terre emanates blissful tranquility. The interiors, a balanced mixture of old and new, of rare antiques, design objects, and furniture from local retailers, are incredible and reflect the enormous good taste of the jewelry designer.

The tapestry handmade by Guatemalan crafters that reproduces one of Alexander Calder’s designs, and the Portuguese traditional hand-painted tiles in the bathroom, are two of the gems you can find in the house of this talented artist whose work is admired by powerful women such as Oprah and Zendaya.

Interior Designer Michelle R. Smith’s New Orleans family home matches all our voyeuristic expectations. A renovated Greek Revival construction dated to 1865, preserved in its origins as much as it was technically possible. The dining room chandelier, as a matter of fact, happens to have come with the house! An extra perk, apart from the privilege of being able to live inside splendorous architecture and period rooms.

The founder of Studio MRS seems to have a predilection for Nero Marquina marble. This magnanimous material can be found both on the top of the custom under-the-stairs sideboard and the custom vanity in the powder room. Vintage furniture, designer lighting, and comfortable upholstery with an easy-going vibe complete the decor of this house that is approachable and stylish!
