Ledbury Studio’s Cotswolds Kitchen was distinguished as the winner of the Best Use of Materials Kitchen category. The Cotswolds Kitchen by Ledbury Studio
The authentic nature of their work speaks for itself. A Ledbury Studio design will normally feature solid sheet metals, hand-painted and texturised to create finishes that add depth, warmth and individuality to the kitchen design. Craftsmanship takes priority, then is married to the client’s ideas and interests to create the ultimate functional, but above all, art-like space. The Cotswolds Kitchen project was no exception!
Spanning four years, this remarkable renovation was brought to life through a collaboration with Studio Ashby, led by Sophie Ashby, to transform a picturesque country residence in the Cotswolds. The project focused on reimagining the home’s open-plan kitchen, dining, and living areas, balancing rustic character with a refined mix of materials, textures, and contemporary details that create an inviting and highly functional environment.
The kitchen showcases textured Crown Oak cabinetry, selected for its rich natural character and warm appearance. Its organic finish contrasts beautifully with sleek stainless steel appliances, creating a thoughtful dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and modern design. Diamond quartzite surfaces further enrich the composition, extending from the worktops to a sculptural sink positioned to capture the changing natural light from the surrounding gardens. Handleless base cabinetry reinforces the clean architectural aesthetic while allowing the striking wood grain to remain the visual focal point.
Adding another layer of personality, the walk-in pantry is finished in the vibrant Gui Octobre paint shade. The rich yellow hue brings warmth and energy to the space while providing generous additional storage that complements the kitchen’s overall functionality.
Although each area embraces its own distinct identity, the interiors come together seamlessly through a carefully curated palette of colours, finishes, and materials. The result is a highly bespoke living environment that reflects the homeowners’ lifestyle while celebrating individuality, craftsmanship, and timeless design.
Ledbury Studio and Homes & Gardens Magazine have crossed paths before, when the latter published one of the studio’s project back in the “A Fresh Start” issue back in July 2024. A year later, Ledbury Studio conquered one of the esteemed awards given by the editorial authority.

Ledbury Studio has opened a brand-new showroom that showcases their expertise in material use. Here, you can find designs that range from copper to pewter, or even zinc finishes in combination with stained wood or painted cupboards. The showroom is located in Ledbury Mews in Notting Hill!
