Stéphanie Coutas: Blending Neoclassic And Contemporary Elements

Thanks to her childhood in Hong Kong, interior designer and decorator Stéphanie Coutas has developed a keen sense of intuition for the mixing of cultures and an appreciation for upmarket yet understated ‘art de vivre’. Her sophisticated and tasteful design projects are characterized by the use of luxury materials, the prestige of made-to-measure furniture and the utmost quality and originality when it comes to finishing touches. A style blending neoclassic and contemporary elements that unreservedly and boldly revisits all eras and trends in the decorative arts. Her eponymous design agency, created in 2005, is made up of an international team of twenty talented multilingual experts: registered architects, interior decorators, designers and an in-house purchasing department all work in close collaboration with top French artisans and internationally renowned artists.

Townhouse – London

In London’s South Kensington district, the agency was commissioned by the townhouse’s art collector owner to create a new layout and interior design. A charming space with a typically London feel, striking a balance between modern art and family living.

Completely renovated in a contemporary and refined style, this superb project reflects all the know-how of the SC Edition agency. From the entrance gallery and its incredible white opal door, the entire reception area has been designed as a vibrant art gallery, allowing you to contemplate subtly associated works in absolute comfort. A vision of luxury and a French way of life, declined in each of the 4 rooms and bathrooms, mixing luxurious details and choice of warm and elegant materials.

Raymond Poincaré – Paris

For this apartment in the 16th arrondissement in Paris, Stéphanie Coutas chose a selection of whites to showcase the owners’ collection of antiques, unfurling in an assortment of furniture, décor, and matte and glossy textures.

Townhouse Saïd

Stéphanie Coutas: Blending Neoclassic And Contemporary Elements

A townhouse hid in a private, secure cul-de-sac in Paris’s 16th arrondissement. SC Edition completed the interior design and decoration of the 260 m2 of this 4-story residence with a garden. The spirit is that of an English townhouse open to the exterior, in a uniquely calm, leafy setting in the heart of Paris. Elegant and soothing, the decor enhances the natural materials used to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere: raw, solid wood, Versailles-style flooring, immaculate walls, and harmoniously geometric moldings and cornices reflecting the light. The whole is lifted by the dominant colors of each carefully selected decorative object and artwork.

Villa Athens

The new primary residence belonging to a busy businesswoman from one of Greece’s most affluent families. The villa’s majestic, sweeping spaces result in gorgeous natural light that floods the rooms, tempered by velvety fabrics and furniture selected in natural tones. The many designer pieces here were carefully picked to ensure each room was given its own signature aesthetic.

Montaigne – Paris

The Paris collection’s latest addition is this apartment tucked away in Paris’s Golden Triangle district and brimming with high-end details – a luxury feel in the master suite, with a king-size walk-in closet leading from the bedroom to a bathroom designed in black and white marble. The reception space is structured around a gold and wood-toned palette, opening out onto seven windows that offer up spectacular views of the elegant Avenue Montaigne and the Seine.

Nada Shehab – Eclectic Design Mastery With A Luxxu Essence

Inspired by the Swan Lake Op. 20, a ballet piece composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, the Odette Sofa tells the story of a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer’s curse. Its sweeping silhouette is accentuated with a polished brass structure and an asymmetric back that offers a sophisticated design and a timeless appeal. This is an exclusive design at its best.
