The renowned Architectural Digest magazine has just launched their inspiring AD 200 influencers list of 2019. From inspiring interior designers and renowned design studios, these inspiring New Yorkers have been influencing every single aspect of the city’s interior design industry. Discover who are the top influencers selected by the Architectural Digest Magazine from NYC!
Former editors of I.D. Magazine, as well as freelance writers, curators, and design consultants, these inspiring women founded in 2009 the Sight Unseen site which is an online magazine that uncovers what’s new and next in design and the visual arts, with a focus on independent makers working outside traditional disciplinary boundaries.
The renowned designer founded New York City’s Selldorf Architects studio in 1988. Guided by their humanism concept, the design studio offers services in architectural design, interior design, exhibition design, master planning, landscape concepts, and strategic planning.
Founded in 2002 by principals Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch, the New York-based design studio known for their work on hotels, restaurants, retail spaces, homes, and product design. Recently, they have created their most personal work to date: Roman and Williams Guild NY where the studios showcase their collection of original furniture, lighting, and accessories, as well as items collected from the workshops of the world’s best artisans.
Founded in the summer of 2010 by Tara Mangini and Percy Bright, the Jersey Ice Cream Co studio believes in craftsmanship, timelessness, and leaving things better than they found them.
Inspired by numerous trips to vibrant cities, Jan Kath quickly developed his distinctive signature design which is absolutely style-defining. He is one of the world’s most renowned designers of hand-knotted carpets, thanks to his innovative combination of classic elements with contemporary minimalist design.
Founded by Gabriel Hendifar and Jeremy Anderson, Apparatus is popular for incorporating a strange kind of beauty, highly refined into their interior decor projects and bespoke home design collection. The New York-based design studio stands as a revolution for design and its embellishments since it shares a spectacular concept of lighting designs, bespoke furniture, and objects that present themselves as completely unique.
