Salone del Mobile is the main design event of the year, in Europe. From April 9-14th, Milan will be breathing art and design from every part of the city. From Fuorisalone to Salone del Mobile, you get to discover amazing projects and brands that inspire the industry of design. There are many brands that are spread all over these events, to show you the most amazing items, and Molteni & C is one of them. Molteni & C is a top Italian brand that has a stand focusing on a Mid-Century concept. Today, Interior Design Magazines shows you everything you need to know about this amazing project, within Salone del Mobile.

The city of Milan is the main character during this massive design event, Milan Design Week. Within this eventful week, you’ll discover a large spectrum of events, exhibitions, and also cocktail parties! All these events give you the opportunity to establish a connection with the artists, and to participate in an incredible networking ambience.

There are some brands and projects that obviously stand out throughout this week, such as the Molteni & C brand. This top Italian brand is represented at this year’s edition of Salone del Mobile, with a stand inspired by Mid-Century architecture. Displayed on Hall 20, the stand features a design from the Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen, the brand’s Creative Director and Corporate Image Curator.

Molteni & C‘s concept for the year of 2019 is greatly inspired on Mid 20th Century architectural houses. Pure walls and long ceilings dominate the definition of the space, transforming every room into something broader and more open. Californian gardens are also involved in this inspiration, creating massive green islands throughout the houses.

A large kitchen it’s one of the mains ideals of the Molteni & C‘s inspired house. There’s an opening for a luxurious and sophisticated kitchen that contains a central island. On that premise, you can stroll around the kitchen, gathering all the supplies you need, and still locating at its center. It has also a touch of Mid-Century and American concept behind it, with a modern twist.

There’s also space for an amazing and inspirational studio, built around an open green void. This iconic room is strategically connected with the rooftop terrace through an open staircase, where you pass through a library. Within this amazing space that is the library, walnut, travertine stone and palladiana flooring are the exciting materials that give life and potential to it.

At this year’s Salone del Mobile, Molteni & C is presenting new products that are amazingly created through the Mid-Century concept and inspiration. Although the main design is from the creative director Vincent Van Duysen, there are also some designs from the famous Yabu Pushelberg, Rodolfo Dordoni, Nicola Gallizia, Dante Bonuccelli, Foster + Partners and Neri&Hu.

These incredible Mid-Century pieces are mainly focused on the furniture items that complete space such as the living room, kitchen, study and the dining room. Molteni & C are presenting designs like the IRVING bed, a modern, textile bed ideal for the contemporary lifestyle with elegant shapes. It also features the IRVING piece, a small system for the living and dining area, composed of tall and low storage units.
