House Beautiful Shows A Dreamy Dining Room Decor For This Christmas – The new color of the year of 2019 by Pantone is the main character of this inspirational Christmas interior design!
As you know coral is Pantone‘s new color of the year of 2019! And it was the foundation for this dreamy dining room decor published by House Beautiful Magazine. Created by the famous artist, Gray Malin, this interior design idea is “simple yet elegant” with the trendiest color scheme of this holiday season!
Gray Malin has been transforming spaces with different living coral tones since it was just another color on the palette. In November, the artist and his husband, Jeff Richardson, redesigned the dining room of their Los Angeles luxury house, without knowing that their color choice was going to be named Pantone‘s Color of the Year of 2019!
In the creative process, Malin wanted a color that can easily be adapted not only for the holiday season but also for the daily routine! The soft wall color choice is combined with coral tones and playful decor details, proving that this incredible color palette can really work with anything!
On the table, they placed an exquisite gold flatware combined with a few florals elements! The metallic tableware and decorative accessories choice really elevated the concept of Christmas decoration to an all new level… and can be used in any time of year or in any special occasion! The traditional red and green look has a new strong competitor!
“The overall warm color scheme feels simple, yet elegant,” says Gray Malin. On the Christmas tree, they used some gold pear ornaments that complemented the unique floral centerpiece and adds an extra “wow factor”!
According to the interior designer, the secret to this shabby chic festive space was to keep an open mind and stay away of the traditional Christmas decor ideas. In this interior design project, they were able to achieve a beautiful yet timeless result that would be ready to surprise their friends and family during the holiday season!
