Foster + Partners is a global studio for sustainable architecture, engineering, urbanism and industrial design, founded by Norman Foster in 1967. Since then, he, and the team around him, have established an international practice with a worldwide reputation. With offices across the globe, they work as a single studio that is both ethnically and culturally diverse. The principles of sustainability are integral to their work: designing buildings that run at a fraction of the current energy requirements, or urban quarters that can support thriving communities, improving the quality of life in a city for all. Check a few projects below with us!
RCC HEADQUARTERS
The practice’s first office building in Russia, the RCC Headquarters in Ekaterinburg reimagines the conventional cellular office to set new standards in quality, comfort and flexibility. The 15-story building’s innovative modular office units are enveloped in an energy-efficient enclosure, which provides a distinctive symbol for the organization.

HANKOOK TECHNOPLEX
Building on the successful partnership developed during the Hankook Technodome project – the company’s integrated R&D center in Daejeon – Foster + Partners was asked to design Hankook’s new headquarters in Pangyo, on the outskirts of Seoul. The building serves as a catalyst for change for the company’s ongoing efforts to inculcate a progressive corporate culture.
APPLE MARINA BAY SANDS
Apple Marina Bay Sands is set to be a distinctive presence on the bay, with a 30-meter diameter dome that is a contemporary interpretation of the geodesic dome, using minimal material to enclose the maximum space. Imagined as a clear bubble in the water, it references the sister pavilion through its materiality and site. It is fully glazed, with a black glass base, creating an island joined only by a small bridge.
HOUSE OF WISDOM
Long considered primarily as repositories for books and periodicals, the role of libraries in the life of contemporary communities is set to be reimagined for the 21st century. The House of Wisdom conceptualizes the library as a social hub for learning, supported by innovation and technology. Celebrating Sharjah as the 2019 UNESCO World Book Capital, the building creates a new publishing and research-based institution that seeks to be the catalyst for a new cultural quarter in the city.
