Besides the soulful interior design, the Elizabeth Hotel also has an incredible music playlist that pays tribute to the town”aunt” and respects the musical culture of the Fort Collins town, at the same time!
Open since December 2017, the Elizabeth Hotel is a 164-room boutique hotel in Colorado that is located on the edge of Old Town Fort Collins. The hotel project was created by a design studio called DLR Group.
The Elizabeth Hotel is a way to honor the “Auntie” Elizabeth Stone, Colorado’s “founding mother” and owner of the first hotel in Fort Collins, known for her boundless energy. On her 81st birthday, the town community and four generations of the Stone family held a dance in her honor at the Masonic Hall.
Every interior design choice of the project helps to elevate the personality of the charismatic project, like the MAYA Armchair by BRABBU. This bespoke velvety chair was the perfect solution for the contemporary style of the room.

On this boutique interior design project, the interior designer wanted to transmit a soulful energy that could tell the history behind the concept, through the incredible architectural and decoration language!
“Love of music is inherent in the Fort Collins community, and so played an integral role in inspiring our design for The Elizabeth Hotel. One of the cornerstone amenities of the hotel is its lending library where guests can check out musical instruments, equipment, and records. We created spaces that would complement those musical foundations, infusing acoustic design into every part of the hotel to enhance the audible experience“, explains the DLR Group designers.
