Interlink, a Puerto-Rico based developer, sought to revitalize the once flourishing urban district of Miramar by returning affluent living to the area. The Cosmopolitan anchors this redevelopment, nimbly embracing local culture and tradition and enriching it with a global perspective. Innovative branding, noteworthy design, an ideal back-of-house network, proximity to San Juan’s hottest attractions, and luxurious materials make Cosmopolitan one of the most sought-after residences in San Juan.
CallisonRTKL partnered with Ray-Ban to develop the brand’s flagship store based on the “Agora Concept.” Drawn from the ancient Greek concept, the Agora is a place of community gatherings and sharing. This design concept was ultimately chosen for its simplicity and flexibility. It creates a retail space that establishes a connection to a location and its community, while also creating a physical manifestation of the brand.
A multi-family residential project in Plantation, Florida, The Manor in Plantation differentiates itself in the market by evoking southern hospitality and rustic charm updated with the latest conveniences and comforts of urban apartment living. The name itself inspired visions of relaxing on a portico in the quiet of summer evenings. Rustic farm structures and antique plantation furnishings provided imagery for creating a startling mix of frayed old and crisply new.
CallisonRTKL collaborated with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and James Beard award-winner Richard Sandoval to design Sandoval’s latest eatery, Toro Latin Restaurant & Rum Bar. Situated on the 18th hole of the Stadium Course at Scottsdale’s acclaimed Tournament Players Club golf course, Toro masterfully melds pan-Latin cuisine, combining the distinct flavours of South and Central America with ingredients rooted in the Japanese and Chinese Peruvian cultures.
The 5-star JW Marriott Mexico City, located in the upscale Polanco district of Mexico’s capital, underwent a comprehensive renovation to the property. Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa blend crisp, modern features with natural elements, textures and colours drawn from the hotel’s picturesque gulf-front surroundings. Representing a significant extension of the client’s brand in Florida, the 450-key Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa includes one of the largest ballrooms in the market and 22,000 square feet of banquet and meeting facilities. The hotel offers both guest rooms and suites, each one outfitted with white and oak wood tones and silvery metals accented with tropical modern fabrics and beach-inspired artwork.
The vision of settling South Florida that Henry Flagler pioneered set the tone for this development in an emerging neighbourhood in Fort Lauderdale. South Florida’s interpretation of a Caribbean colonial seaside-inspired these interiors that are influenced by breezy beach life and casual, sexy chic. CallisonRTKL designed the public spaces, amenity areas, poolside furnishing and model units in the residential property. Amenities include a lounge/sitting space with fireplace, business centre, clubhouse, fitness and compelling outdoor spaces including fire pits, grills and activity areas.
The design team reconfigured the layout for a new generation of guests by creating a feeling of connectivity and openness. Taking cues from the stunning natural surroundings, the rich colour palette features shades of blue, green and amber complemented by warm wood finishes, creating harmony between the interior and the great outdoors.
Hueb, a family-owned jewellery brand founded in Brazil, partnered with CallisonRTKL to design and implement its first retail store in the United States. CallisonRTKL began the design process by working with the jeweller to define their brand and identify the core customer. Hueb’s jewellery is unique in its old-world craftsmanship coupled with innovative designs, which inspired the design team’s eclectic approach to the store experience.
