As you know the Covet Awards is a distinguished design competition, sponsored by Covet House and the Brhands Foundation, with the mission to find the world’s most outstanding interior designers and projects that modernize the craftsmanship art and stimulate the creativity of the worldwide professionals! The first contestants are a design project from Austria and another modern design from Poland. Exited to know more about this design projects?
Chef’s Bistro Project – Austria
Designed by Turkish interior architecture firm, at the beginning of 2018, Yonca Sirmen, the Chef’s Bistro is an Italian Cuisine restaurant located in Favoritenstraße 79, Vienna, Austria. The idea of the design project was to give a feeling of being in the same location for many years with the combination of many materials and design elements. It’s a contemporary approach that reaches with the beauty of randomness.
The Turkish interior architecture firm approached a playful interior design by using different decoration elements like 3D fiber panels on walls, to create the Heritage brickwork, as well as concrete walls and entrance ceiling mix and integration of all patterns provided by ‘ART STONE’.

Private House Project – Poland
The project, created by Anna Wiatkowska design team, of the AW Design Studio. is a two-story private residence, of a young family, who love the classic elegance mixed with a modern style. Located in the South of Poland, the modern house was a 200.000 Euro investment. The size of the design space (first floor) is 200 sqm.
Wiaktowska’s team, in this design project, tried to create a comfortable space that reflects a cosmopolitan view of the world, using techniques adapted from the classics. The design space includes noble brushed and glossy marble like Nero Marquina and Carrara, glossy brass with openwork metal accent combined with magnificent ash parquet in a warm shade, as well as bespoke pieces made by the designer herself. The goal was to create functionality in a living environment, which becomes a backdrop for furniture, lights, and accessories.
