MICHAEL ANASTASSIADES TALK:
With a strong educational background, the Designer Of The Year revealed, in his inspiring talk, that he moved to London with a clear idea of getting some high-end specialization on product design! After graduating and getting some valued experience working with some top designers, Anastassiades launched his amazing lighting brand in 2007, where he first presented his collection at the Maison et Objet.
During his talk at Maison et Objet 2020, Anastassiades also admitted that he created this company not only to have a more secure work situation but also to create some unique and amazing designs without answering to anyone. The creation of this studio allowed him to dedicate more of his own time to the development and creation of powerful lighting products! In fact, Anastassiade’s love for light started very early in his career, but only when he opened his own company he got the time to really devote himself to the creation of amazing lighting products.
MOST POPULAR INTERIOR DESIGN TRENDS:
#1 Neutral Colors
Soft neutral colors will never go out of style. The most important aspect of this kind of space is to introduce various subtle details that will give a bit more character to an interior. Discreet and trendy tones that provide lightness and elegance to any room.
#2 Art Déco Inspirations:
The Art Déco interior design style can transform any space into a living art museum. One of the most unique and remarkable design trends for the next year will be the luxury design featuring artfully handcrafted pieces worthy of being in a museum or design gallery.
#3 Curved Shapes:
Popular in the 60’s curved soft furnishings has now taken hold on sideboards and even suspension lamps, but their return to sofas and seating make it one of the most intriguing and even covetable interior design trends. Curved shapes give the opportunity for a conversation, communication and make the furniture look comfortable and inviting
#4 Classic Blue Ideas:
A timeless and enduring blue hue, Pantone 19-4052 Classic Blue is elegant in its simplicity. Suggestive of the sky at dusk, the reassuring qualities of the thought-provoking Pantone 19-4052 Classic Blue highlight the desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.
#5 Terrazzo Patterns:
Traditionally sold as flooring, the material was popular in the 1970s and is replacing marble in the 2020 design trends. Terrazzo is a lot more than just a flooring material. It’s a design aesthetic that goes back thousands of years, while still retaining its unique influence today in the 21st century.
