Thanksgiving is almost coming but ideas for these festive days are already on going, House Beautiful asked famous interior designers, bloggers to share with us great tips for decorate your thanksgiving table. Take a look and enjoy!!
This advice comes from interior designer Charlotte Moss saying “An individual tureen makes a dish look like was made just for you”
Roberto Rufino from Tiffany & Co suggests “For more personality, combine all your candlesticks – wood, crystal, and porcelain.”
Designer Tomas O’Brien says “Always write your own place cards, even if your hand-writing is quirky. It makes the setting more personal.”
Try different colors
The colors Blue and White remind a fresh feel for fall, for the flowers Carolyne Roehm prefers oranges, yellows and red.
Home furnishing designer Jan Barboglio reminds us to be original, a centerpiece don´t have to be always a floral arrangement saying “I select artifacts my children or I have collected. These pieces have a richness of spirit, a softness of age, and a story.”
Janice Feldman, the founder of Janus et Cie says “I do lots of single-bud bouquets, placed so you see the person sitting opposite you – so important.”
For an elegant holiday “Use a tablecloth and a placemat — or two — and a beautiful charger. The more the merrier,” says Amen Wardy, one of Aspen’s legendary retailers.
Not too tall centerpieces
Nothing better in this holiday that to create bound with family and friends. Tatiana Sorokko suggestion is “Keep your centerpieces low so your guests can talk to each other without needing a chiropractor afterward.”
For a romantic fall table, “candle lamps are a joy. The height of the flame stays constant, and you can change the color of the shade to change the atmosphere,” says William Yeoward.
This advice is my favorite because it´s all about Thanksgiving “Plan everything, do everything, then let it go,” says fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg.
